Description

Vancomycin 1g/20mL SDV NP is a sterile solution intended for intravenous administration. Each vial contains 1 gram of Vancomycin in a 20mL glass flip-top vial. The product is provided as a powder, requiring further dilution prior to use to achieve the desired concentration. Vancomycin is an antibiotic used primarily in the treatment of serious infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria, including those resistant to other antibiotics, such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

The mechanism of action of Vancomycin involves inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which ultimately leads to the destruction of the bacterial cell.
